CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
THE ASHNR IS NOW ACCEPTING ABSTRACTS FOR THE 2024 ANNUAL MEETING.
BOTH SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL ABSTRACTS ARE ENCOURAGED.
Deadline: May 29, 2024
A. SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATIONS
Hypothesis-driven research intended to be presented as a 5-minute oral podium presentation.
B. EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS
Visually-oriented educational presentations designed to teach and/or review topics related to head and neck imaging.
They are presented as multi-slide PowerPoint Presentations.
ABSTRACT GUIDELINES
- Abstracts should be submitted via the web site (https://ashnrabstracts.com/) by May 29, 2024.
- Presenters of accepted abstracts must register for the ASHNR Annual Meeting.
- Please choose one submission category:
- Pediatric/Congenital
- Sinus
- Orbit
- Face
- Cranial Nerves
- Temporal Bone
- Skull Base
- Neck
- General/Other
- Scientific Presentation abstracts should use the format: Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
- Educational Exhibit abstracts should be a summary of the planned presentation and a list of educational objectives
- Case Reports or Case Series should be submitted as Electronic Exhibits
- Maximum abstract length: 400 words, not including title, authors, images, and figures.
- Changes can be made to submitted abstracts until the deadline.
- Multiple abstracts on different topics may be submitted.
- At least one reference is required, and up to five references may be included. You may include your reference within your abstract or as an attachment.
- Charts, tables and graphics are encouraged if relevant to the research and are submitted as separate files.
- Only one attached file can be an image file, with a maximum of four parts
- Minimum file resolution is 1000 x 1000 pixels
- Maximum file size is 10 megabytes.
- Only jpg and gif formats are accepted.
- Abstracts submitted as Scientific Presentations may be re-assigned as Educational Exhibits at the discretion of the ASHNR Education Committee
- Only oral scientific presentations are considered for the Radiologist-In-Training award, with a $1000 stipend
provided upon submission of the winning scientific paper to the American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR).
ABSTRACT REVIEW PROCESS
- All abstracts will be reviewed by members of the ASHNR Education Committee.
- Detailed guidelines for presentation will be provided upon abstract acceptance.
- The ASHNR recognizes top presentations with a variety of awards. These include: Best Educational Exhibits Awards, Certificate of Merit Awards, an In-Training Award for oral presentation, and one or more Fan Favorite Awards for case exhibits.
